Position: Financial Analytics Intern
Location: Barrackpore, Kolkata, West Bengal
Stipend: ₹12,000 – ₹15,000 per month

About the Role
We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial Analytics Intern to join our Finance team. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical exposure to financial analysis, MIS reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and business performance tracking. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, proficiency in Excel, and an eagerness to learn financial planning and data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and business insights.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Prepare financial dashboards and management reports.
- Assist in revenue, expense, and profitability analysis.
- Work on financial modeling and scenario analysis.
- Reconcile financial data from multiple sources.
- Prepare reports for business performance monitoring.
- Support month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
- Maintain financial databases and ensure data accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and validate financial information.
- Assist in automating reports using advanced Excel functions wherever possible.
- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis as assigned by the Finance team.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, Charts, Basic Formulas).
- Understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
- Knowledge of budgeting and financial reporting.
- Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks within deadlines.
- Basic knowledge of Power BI or Tableau will be an added advantage.
- Familiarity with ERP or accounting software is desirable.
Educational Qualification
- Pursuing or recently completed B.Com, BBA (Finance), BMS, M.Com, MBA (Finance), CA (Inter), CMA (Inter), or equivalent.
- Candidates with strong academic performance and an interest in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) are encouraged to apply.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Advanced Excel, Financial Modeling, Power BI, or Data Analytics is an added advantage.
- Prior internship experience in Finance, Accounting, MIS, or Analytics will be preferred.
